Today, there's a sense of bustling modernity, productivity, and technology. We're constantly on our phones, we're absolutely surrounded and engrossed in stimulation, screens, and being tapped into global happenings at all times. Nature and rural life is getting further and further away from us whether we like it or not. Peace is immensely important to our mental wellbeing and emotional status, but without the exposure to nature we can get lost in our corporate or soulless day to day. The thing about life in nature is that it forces you to be with yourself, with your own thoughts, feelings, and insides. The reticence that comes with a life in nature isn't something that can be seen in a city or suburb. There's a feeling in the air that everything around you is still and staid, a tranquility that only can be seen when things desist. Think about how much we don't even notice anymore, and how much noise is around us without us realizing. We can easily get swept up into our busy lives, our phones, and our own habits without checking in on ourselves and wondering if it's actually good for us.
